HANDLING PRECAUTIONS

When handling the LCD Modules, please pay attention to the following items:
  (1) The display panel is made of class, do not subject it excessive shocks by dropping it or impact.
  (2) The display panel is made of class, do not subject it excessive shocks by dropping it or impact.
  (3) Do not alter, modify or change the shape of the tab on metal frame nor make any arrangement to it.
  (4) Do not work on the printed circuit board.
  (5) Absolutely do not modify the zebra rubber strip (conductive rubber) or heat seal connector.
  (6) Except for soldering the interface, do not make any alternations or modifications with a soldering iron.
  (7) Wipe the LCD surface gently with absorbent cotton or other soft material when it becomes dusty, do not scrub hard to avoid damaging the panel surface. If it’s heavily contaminated, moisten cloth with the following solvents:
Absolute Ethyl alcohol
  (8) Avoid contacting water drops, oil and fats. Do not put or attach anything on the display area to avoid leaving marks on.
Electro-Static Discharge Control
Since the module uses a CMOS LSI, the same careful attention should be paid to electro-static discharge as for an ordinary CMOS IC.
  (1) Be sure the human body grounded when handing LCM
  (2) Make certain the module and human body have the same electric potential before remove LCM from its packing case or incorporating it into a set.
  (3) Make certain to avoid touching the panel terminal with naked finger.
  (4) Use a no-leak iron soldering the terminal of LCM.
  (5) The electronic apparatus should be of ground when attach LCM.
  (6) Make the potential of the work clothes and operation bench equal to the grounded potential.
  (7) Peel of the LCM protective film slowly. Finger cots with anti-ESD charge is needed.
  (8) A relative humidity of 50%-60% for work shop is recommended.
Electro-Static Discharge Control
Since the module uses a CMOS LSI, the same careful attention should be paid to electro-static Precautions for Operation
  (1) Driving the LCD in the voltage above the limit shortens it’s life.
  (2) Slight dew depositing on terminals is a cause for electro-chemical reaction resulting in terminal open circuit.
  (3) Response time is greatly delayed at temperature below the operating temperature range.
  (4) However, this does not mean the LCD will be out of the order. It will recover when it returns to the specified temperature range. In the display area is pushed hard during operation. Some font will be abnormally displayed but it resumes normal condition after turning off once.
Safety
The following ways are recommended when storing LCD Module as spares for some years:
  (1) Driving the LCD in the voltage above the limit shortens it’s life.
  (2) Store them in a dark place where neither exposure to direct sunlight nor fluorescent light, keep the temperature range from 0℃ to 35℃ and at low humidity.
  (3) Storage with no touch on polarizer surface by the anything else.
Storage
It is recommendable to crash damaged or unnecessary LCD into pieces and wash off liquid crystal by using solvents such as acetone and ethanol.
When any liquid crystal leaked out of a damaged glass cell comes it contact with your hands, please wash it off well with soap and water.
